Moving back to the topic. When it comes to watching videos online all of us prefer or say knows only 2 sites. Youtube and Dailymotion. Many people might already know that Youtube is not only for watching videos we can also make money from youtube by uploading our own videos and monetizing it with Adsense. But during my research before this writing this post, I come to know that very few people know that we can also make money with Dailymotion just like Youtube.

What Is Dailymotion?
Founded by Olivier Poitrey and Benjamin Bejbaum. Dailymotion was Launched on 15th March 2005, It is the 2nd largest video streaming website after Youtube and 7th Most Surfed Website In World according to Google.
How To Make Money Online With Dailymotion?
Just like Youtube, Dailymotion place Adsense ads on our videos, once we get approved for their monetization programme and shares 70% of the revenue with uploader out of whatever earning his or her video generates and keeps 30% of it.
How To Become Dailymotion Publisher & Make Mony With Website?
You can also earn money by embedding Dailymotion’s videos on your website. All you need to do is, Once your account is approved,
- Log in to your Dashboad and goto “Website Monetization” tab.
- There you will find “Manage Your Site” Option click on that and the “Add Your Site”
- Enter Details of your Website Like Url Etc.
- Copy given Meta Tag under Body Section of your website
- Once your site is verified
- Â Goto Widget under Website Monetization Tab
- Generate Your Widget By Customizing its style and size
- Â Copy the given code anywhere your want videos to be show on your website and save it and you are done
- Â Now everytime a user will play video on your website, You will get paid for it.
How To Monetize and Make Money with Dailymotion Videos?
During my research for this post. I come to know that only a few people know that Dailymotion also have monetization option just like Youtube and you can earn money from Dailymotion as well and there is a lot of misconception regarding Do’s and Dont’s to get approval for Dailymotion Monetization. So I m going to share what exactly I did to get approved from Dailymotion and monetize my channel. All you need to do is replicate this exact method and start your journey to success.
Strategy To Earn From Dailymotion
I m not any so called expert to tell you and specific strategy to make money from Dailymotion. Its all depends on personal approach. More you promote your videos, more you will earn.
Here is my exact stratergy of how i got views on my videos. As we all know that Advertiser love traffic from Europe countries, Now comes the traffic part to earn revenue from our videos. More views we get on our videos, more revenue for us. For that you can use websites having good amount of USA users.

Criteria To Get Approved For Dailymotion Monetization.
There is a lot of myth and rumours around the web when it comes to getting approved for Dailymotion monetization. Many so called expert say that you need to have channel at least with 25000 views before you apply for monetization. They also say that you need to have 100’s of videos before you apply for the same. And what I call this total sh#t.
First thing first, to make money from Dailymotion you need to have the account with Dailymotion and need to have at least 4-5 original videos uploaded on your channel. Don’t copy someone else videos as it will dim your chances of getting approved. You need to already have at least some amount of views on your videos before you apply for monetization. My suggestion is, Don’t apply for monetization before your have 500 views on your channel.
Once you fulfil above written criteria. Signup for their monetization programme by filling the simple form. You will find link to join this programme at the bottom of Dailymotion’s homepage
Once applied wait for some time (in my case it was 12hours) and you will receive a mail from Dailymotion that your account has been approved for monetization.
How To Get Paid By Dailymotion?
You will get paid by Dailymotion on your desired payment method (which you have selected while signup) once your account balance reaches 100$. If you didn’t reach the payment threshold this month, it will be carry forward to next month until you reach 100$ minimum.

As you can see in above picture that my lifetime earning from dailymotion till now is 1358$ . That’s actually around 1500$ as my last payment of 102$ is not yet updated in their database.

Promoting is all depends on your skills and your niche. You can promote it on relevant groups on facebook, google plus etc. If you are into any particular niche then you can built dedicated blog to that niche and promote your videos there.
Dailymotion is good alternative if your youtube channel is banned for any reason but when it comes to earning. Youtube is still best.

Yes they are experiencing some thechical issues. But site is very much genuine and still paying.

Thanks for this cool review, yes the rumours are all wrong. I got accepted there with minimal effort. Just stay unique and viewed and you’ll get what you deserve. The only problem you will face when it comes to DM is that the website is less popular than Youtube so expect to receive low view count.
At first, i thought it was not worth it, but the time i quit Dailymotion and came back months after – i realized i was wrong. My earnings spiked and earned $10 from 20 videos with just hundreds of views each.
So i can conclude that there’s a good possibility of you, earning good amount of extra money there passively. Plus, get viral and you’ll find out yourself raking money doing nothing. It will just take time for the earnings to show up in the analytics section (that’s very frustrating for newbies ofcourse, have patience).
Im not doing DM anymore, but i look forward on improving my channel. And guess what? They pay via Payoneer Mastercard now!

I don’t think it’s that easy. The funny videos or pranks which are popular on YouTube are not popular here, in fact not one single ad appeared even with the old channels. Perhaps only selective videos earn. I’ve watched DM many times in years but I saw ad only once. So it’s not that easy. And isn’t there any way if your youtube channel gets terminated??
Yes, i agree with you that it’s not the best option to make money online but its the best alternative of youtube you can say. And what gives edge Dailymotion over youtube is they don’t ban the whole channel if any video breaks the rules. Only individual video will be deleted.

You don’t need Adsense to get paid from Dailymotion. They pay via PayPal or via wire transfer. If you don’t have PayPal account, read my previous post on how to create paypal account.

PayPal, Bank Transfer and Prepaid Debit MasterCard. But to receive your payment from rest of this 2 methods except paypal, you need to have Payoneer Card.

Promote your videos on social media on pages with more likes from europian countries also on websites like Reddit, StumbleUpon were there are lots of europian members.

You must have uploaded a copyrighted video which is not allowed in Dailymotion. If you upload someone else videos on your channel, ads will show up on your videos hence no earning. So try to make your own videos or else edit those copyrighted videos big time so that Dailymotion’s algorithm could not catch it.
How to know if our video is copyrighted or not? I mean on youtube you can easily know if someone owned the video that we upload by looking at video manager (also we can dispute them). But how about Dailymotion? Where can we find that? Thanks!

They don’t have any tools like youtube to check copyrighted videos, only way to is to track your videos, if they find it copyrighted, they will remove it from your uploaded video list

Dailymotion does not show ads on videos which is not our original work. Hence, you wont get any revenue from that video.
Monetization on my Channel on Dailymotion is enabled and my Blog is Verified too. However there is $0 in my account and CPM is 0. How is that possible. I have promoted FB fan Page too , How come Dailymotion isn’t Crediting to My Channel.
Make sure you uploade only original videos bcoz dailymotion does not shows ads on copied video hence no earning.

Advertisements depend on many factors like your keyword, your topic of videos etc. I suggest you to make longer videos of over 10mins and write the good long description in video.

Earning depends on various factors for eg. Countries you getting views from, Niche of your video, length of your video etc. There is no exact answer to your question.

No, u just need to provide your email address to which you have the paypal account. There are no such rules that you have to use PayPal account of your own to get paid in Dailymotion.

They don’t have such (minimum followers) criteria yet. you can just signup for their monetization program and start uploading original videos in order to earn revenue from it.

Yes you can share your videos on social media sites like Facebook, Telegram, Whatsapp etc and get views. But only original content can be monetized. If you copy someone else’s video and upload it on your channel, They won’t run any ads on it hence no revenue for you.
